Mobile Devices and “Gadget” Insurance
MSI offers not only coverage for damage, accidental breakage, theft, loss, and corrosion, but also reimbursement for fraudulent charges incurred as a result of theft or loss on mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets, laptops, MP3 players, GPS devices, and cameras.
Coverage may also include line rental fees in the event of job loss, misuse, identity theft, and reimbursement for charges resulting from unauthorized use of contactless payment systems (such as Apple Pay).
This product can be sold as a standalone insurance product or as part of a benefits package (see credit card benefits).
Eyeglasses and Hearing Aids
This coverage includes accidental damage as well as defects in materials and workmanship.
Car Rentals: Deductible Waiver
The renter of a vehicle is responsible for the deductible, which can sometimes be equal to the vehicle’s value. This insurance is optional and is purchased to reduce the amount the renter must pay the rental agency for repair costs in the event of an accident.
